It was 8 o'clock when we started. Only 6 degrees Fahrenheit outside. The moon was already up and just a few wisps of clouds here and there. Nonetheless we were going to go cross-country skiing! It was totally grand... until our legs got tired. =) The moon shown on the snow to make it look like God had sprinkled a million diamonds all over the ground. I wished I had, had my camera to take pictures with. All along our journey down Kay Road there were trees covered in snow... you know, the ideal wintry look... just lovely. But it felt like it was broad daylight with the moon one day after it's fullest. There were five of us, Em, Isaac, Chan, Paddy and myself. Little Paddy looked so cute all bundled up with is little mini skis and polls. The poor guy, he crashed so many times! We had a little train formation so to speak. Em plowed the way for the rest of us with Chan right behind her. Isaac was all over, sometimes making his own trail, or in the back of the train or somewhere in the middle. But usually he went right before Paddy and I followed up in the back. As Paddy would tell me, "Hurry up caboose!!!" He definitely wasn't having much trouble keeping up with us bigger kids. And when we would ask him, "Are you tired Musky?" he would immediately answer "No!" as if to not let it show how much work this expedition really was. In our journey we went up the driveway, cut across the front corn field (along G), went all the way down Kay Road, and then cut through another corn field, after which we across a couple fences and the creek, and then went through the horse pasture (of course the horses ignored us as they munched random stuff in the moonlight) and then through the cow pasture... till we made it back, sore but it one piece to our glowing little house, which reminded me of a little ginger bread house. When we got inside it was almost ten... not bad timing for an over-a-mile trek. Thank goodness Dad and Mom had some hot water on the stove for hot chocolate to warm our gizzards. =) Which I am currently drinking as I right this.
And thus ends my tale of our recordings of our late night, cross-country skiing trip on Christmas Eve! =D
Merry Christmas you guys!

Way to go Bill
"They're standing on the corner and they can't speak English. I can't even talk the way these people talk:
Why you ain't,
Where you is,
What he drive,
Where he stay,
Where he work,
Who you be...
And I blamed the kid until I heard the mother talk.
And then I heard the father talk.
>
Everybody knows it's important to speak English except these knuckleheads.
You can't be a doctor with that kind of crap coming out of your mouth.
In fact you will never get any kind of job making a decent living. People marched and were hit in the face with rocks to get an education, and now we've got these knuckleheads walking around.
>
The lower economic people are not holding up their end in this deal.
>
These people are not parenting. They are buying things for kids. $500 sneakers for what!??
And they won't spend $200 for Hooked on Phonics.
I am talking about these people who cry when their son is standing there in an orange suit. Where were you when he was 2 ? ?
Where were you when he was 12 ? ?
Where were y ou when he was 18 and how come you didn't know that he had a pistol ? ?
And where is the father ? ?
Or who is his father?
>
People putting their clothes on backward: Isn't that a sign of something gone wrong?
People with their hats on backward, pants down around the crack, isn't that a sign of something?
Or are you waiting for Jesus to pull his pants up?
Isn't it a sign of something when she has her dress all the way up and got all type of needles [piercing] going through her body?
What part of Africa did this come from??
We are not Africans.
Those people are not Africans; they don't know a thing about Africa.
With names like Shaniqua, Taliqua and Mohammed and all of that crap, and all of them are in jail. Brown or black versus the Board of Education is no longer the white person's problem.
>
We have got to take the neighborhood back.
>
People used to be ashamed. Today a woman has eight children with eight different 'husbands' -- or men or whatever you call them now.
We have millionaire football players who cannot read.
We have million-dollar basketball players who can't write two paragraphs.
We, as black folks have to do a better job.
Someone working at Wal-Mart with seven kids, you are hurting us.
We have to start holding each other to a higher standard.
We cannot blame the white people any longer."

Snow, Snow, Snow!!!!
Yay.... it's so beautiful!!! I like winter time, or actually Christmas time I should say. After Christmas is over and all the red and green decor is gone it's so dull... But in the mean time I feel like singing Feliz Navidad! =D That is my favorite "secular" Christmas song. You know I am getting the urge to go skiing at midnight with a full moon. Doesn't that sound enticing? And then you get inside and drink a steamy rich cup of hot chocolate with a bit of peppermint schnapps! Yum!!!
Oh and it's awesome to give my sista's gifts and stuff! But the hard part is picking them out... or even worse trying to get someone to take you to Eau Claire in the first place so you can get 'em gifts. =S Luckily for me (since I keep forgetting) it is only the 2 of December and I still have plenty of shopping time left!
Farewell for now my beautiful ladies and Feliz Navidad!!! =D

Nothing Changes
Seasons come, seasons go.
There's things to see and things to know.
Is there more to life than this?
An anxious sigh for heavenly bliss.
la
Through it all things stay the same.
Things never really seem to change.
There's nothing new under the sun.
Every stage will be re-run.
la
There's constant weather, rain and shine.
Howling winds and starry nights.
Hoary frosts and orange sunsets.
Clouds in the sky; their permanent rest.
la
Through it all things stay the same.
Things never really seem to change.
There's nothing new under the sun.
Nothing new since man has begun.

I Got...Nothing Better to Do!
I'm really excited about Thanksgiving and am feeling quite convivial! Do you know what convivial means? In fact in this old dictionary I have, the first definition of it is "fond of feasting"! Dude I am totally prepared for a feast! =P Lickin' my lips! Yeeeeeeehaw! Man really want to watch Pride and Prejudice and I can't wait for the conference which is almost half a year away and I want to drink apple cider and then hot chocolate with a little bit of peppermint schnapps!!! O.K. I think you get the point!
On a randomer note I think it would be nice if there was never a winter solstice cause then it could just stay light all the time. Now this is the part of the show where you grab me and then shake me and say, "Mary Ellen I have the perfect solution for you! You should move to that place where it's always morning time... like I think it's Alaska or maybe Greenland!"
But now my left shoulder hurts from telling you to many scary things and such! Eat, drink and be marry my friend, for tomorrow you may not be able to do either!!! TTYL!
