The School House on Table Rock

Back in the days, there used to be a schoolhouse on our property. Of course it was not our property back then. The schoolhouse was located on the hill that we call "Table Rock". It's now covered with trees but apparently back around the time of this schoolhouse there weren't any trees on the hill. It was covered in long grass. We call it "Table Rock" because at the top of the hill there is a huge rock that is flat on top. You can climb up on it... it's round and fairly smooth, ...maybe like a table? ;) Yeah, anyway. Just some fun stuff. I love old pictures, and old stories of back in the days.
Here's a picture taken this October when we took a hike up to the big rock on the top of the hill.

Wow! What happened to the school? Do you know how many students attended?

I can't say I remember hearing how many students attended, but I know that the school burnt down. If you click on the picture of the article you may be able to read some of it. I think it might explain more in it.
