22 Degrees Tonight!

....Baby, it is COLD outside! Inspired by the awesome book, "Goodnight Moon" I have developed a quick poem that sarcastically romanticizes my feelings on going outside to work tonight and my overall enthusiasm of the rapidly approaching winter weather:
 

Hello mittens and long underwear,
Hello guys-are-lucky-because-they-can-grow-facial-hair.
Hello scarf and hello hat,
Hello "Thank you Lord for every ounce of my fat!"
Hello sunshine without any heat,
Hello five-layers-of-socks-on-my-feet.
Hello short days that are spent feeling numb
Hello "I can't feel my fingers and thumbs".
Hello Season that fills us with cheer,
Hello people, Winter is here!
